This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms linked from our Website.
3. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal information and only when voluntarily provided by you.
Information You Provide
We may collect:
- Name
- Company name
- Email address
- Information you include in contact form submissions or email communications
- Messages you send through the Website chat
- Booking details: the meeting you choose, its date and time, whether it is online or in person, your office address for an in-person meeting, and anything you tell us about what you would like to discuss
We do not currently allow file uploads through the Website.
We do not knowingly collect:

Authgnosis treats information submitted through Website contact forms and direct business communications as confidential business information.
However, submission of information through the Website or by email does not, by itself:
- Create a client relationship
- Establish a consulting engagement
- Create legal, fiduciary, or professional obligations beyond applicable privacy laws
- Guarantee absolute security of electronic communications
Formal consulting relationships are established only through executed agreements.
6. Analytics and Cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) and Microsoft Clarity to understand Website usage and improve performance.
GA4 may collect information such as:
- IP-derived geographic region
- Browser type
- Device type
- Operating system
- Pages visited
- Session duration
- Referral sources
- General interaction metrics
Apart from one cookie that remembers your cookie choice, the Website uses analytics cookies only, and sets them only after you accept Analytics on the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics receives only limited information sent without cookies.
We do not currently use:
- Advertising remarketing
- Cross-site behavioral advertising
- Third-party advertising networks

A cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings icon at the bottom left of any page.

Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with the Website, such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the pages viewed, and presents this as heatmaps, session replays and usage metrics. We use this information to improve the Website’s design, content and usability, and to protect its security.
Clarity masks text typed into form fields, so the content of contact form submissions is not captured. Clarity uses first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies.
Microsoft processes Clarity information, including outside Canada, and may use it to improve its own products and services, including its advertising services, in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. For more information, visit:

When you send a chat message, book a meeting or sign up, we also record how you arrived at the Website on that visit: the website or campaign link that referred you, if any, and the first page you viewed. Your browser holds this only until you close the tab. It is not a cookie, and it reaches us only with the message, booking or sign-up you choose to send. We keep it with your contact information to understand which sources bring enquiries.
Emails We Send
Emails we send, including the newsletter, the digests and messages from Marissa Wright, may contain a small invisible image, and their links may pass through links.authgnosis.com. When the image loads or you select a link, we record that it happened, the time, the type of email program or service that made the request, a one-way coded form of the IP address it came from and, for a link, which link it was.
For the newsletter and the digests, these records describe each email sent, not each reader. For an email sent to you individually, they are kept with that email in our customer relationship management system, Microsoft Dynamics 365. We use them to understand whether our emails are read and which content is useful, and to decide when to follow up.
Some email services, including Apple Mail and Gmail, load images automatically, so a recorded open does not always mean an email was read. You can stop the image from loading by turning off automatic image loading in your email program. Links work the same way whether or not they are recorded, and unsubscribe links are never recorded.
7. Website Chat
The Website offers a chat box that lets you send a message directly to Marissa Wright. Using it is optional.
When you send a chat message, we collect:
- The messages you send and the replies you receive
- The page of the Website you were on when the chat began
- The date and time of each message
- Your name and email address, only if you choose to provide them
We also keep a one-way coded form of your IP address. It cannot be read back as your IP address, and we use it only to limit spam and abuse of the chat.
The chat box does not use cookies. It keeps a temporary reference in your browser so that your conversation continues as you move between pages. That reference is removed when you close the browser tab.
Chat messages are delivered through Microsoft Azure services located in Canada and are read and answered in Microsoft Teams. Microsoft processes this information on our behalf in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Chat conversations are deleted automatically 30 days after they take place. If you provide your name and email address, we use them to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation.
Microsoft Clarity does not record the content of chat conversations.
Please do not send confidential, financial, or other sensitive information through the chat box.
8. Online Booking
The Website lets you book a meeting with Marissa Wright. Booking is optional.
When you book, we collect your name, your email address, the meeting you choose and its date and time, and whether you would like to meet online or in person. For an in-person meeting we also collect the address where we will meet. You may also tell us what you would like to discuss.
Bookings are made through Microsoft Bookings and held in our Microsoft 365 calendar. Microsoft Bookings sends you a confirmation, a Microsoft Teams link for online meetings, and a reminder one hour before the meeting. Microsoft processes this information on our behalf in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
As with the Website chat, we keep a one-way coded form of your IP address, used only to limit spam and abuse of the booking form.
Booking details are kept with your contact information as described in Section 14.
9. Email Sign-Ups
The Website lets you ask for the Growth Diagnostic Checklist, the monthly newsletter, or the SEO, AEO and GEO Weekly Digest. Each asks only for your name and email address.
When you sign up, your name, email address, what you asked for and the page you signed up from are recorded in our customer relationship management system, Microsoft Dynamics 365. We use them to send what you asked for and to keep a record of your request.
The checklist is sent once. The newsletter is sent monthly and the digest weekly, until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from either at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any issue, by replying to any issue, or by writing to [email protected].
The SEO, AEO and GEO Weekly Digest requires a company email address. To prepare it, we use the domain of your email address to identify your company's website, and we review publicly available information about it, including search results and responses from AI models.
As with the Website chat, we keep a one-way coded form of your IP address, used only to limit spam and abuse of the sign-up forms.
10. AI and Automation Disclosure
Authgnosis uses advanced automation and agentic AI orchestration technologies in certain operational and administrative workflows.
AI systems may assist with:
- Workflow orchestration
- Research support
- Information categorization
- Operational efficiency
Authgnosis does not rely on generative AI systems for autonomous consulting advice or unsupervised professional decision-making.
Where AI-generated public-facing content is published on the Website, it will be identified as such where appropriate.
Administrative integrations and automation tools may involve third-party cloud service providers.
11. Cross-Border Services and International Processing
Authgnosis provides advisory and consulting services that may involve cross-border business activities and international communications.
Your information may be processed or stored outside Canada, including in the United States, through service providers such as:
- Website hosting providers
- Cloud infrastructure providers
- Analytics providers
- Customer relationship management (CRM) and email platforms
Information processed outside Canada may be subject to foreign laws and lawful access requirements.
WP Engine hosts the Website infrastructure and may process information according to its own infrastructure and privacy practices.
12. Third-Party Services and External Platforms
The Website may contain links or integrations associated with third-party platforms including:

Interactions with third-party platforms are governed by those providers’ own privacy policies and terms.
Authgnosis is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
13. Security Safeguards
Authgnosis uses commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, or loss.
Security measures include:
- SSL/TLS encryption
- WP Engine Global Edge Security
- Administrative multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Restricted administrative access controls
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Data Retention
Contact and inquiry information is generally retained for up to three (3) years unless:
- A longer retention period is required by law
- Retention is necessary for legitimate business purposes
- Information becomes part of an active consulting relationship
Website chat conversations are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Email open and click records are deleted automatically after 13 months, except those kept with an individual email in our customer relationship management system, which are kept with your contact information.
Booking details are kept with your contact information. Sign-up information is kept while you remain subscribed, and is then handled under the three-year period above.
Information no longer required is securely deleted or anonymized where reasonably practicable.
15. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

- Withdraw consent where applicable
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal limitations

16. California Privacy Notice
Although Authgnosis is a Canadian company, certain U.S. visitors may have rights under applicable state privacy laws, including California privacy laws.
Authgnosis does not sell personal information.
The Website uses Microsoft Clarity (see Section 6). Because Microsoft may use information collected through Clarity for its own purposes, including advertising, this may be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
The categories of personal information involved are:
- Online identifiers, such as cookie identifiers
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as pages viewed, clicks and scrolling on the Website
Clarity does not capture text typed into Website forms.
California residents may opt out of this sharing at any time by selecting the cookie settings icon at the bottom left of any page and turning off Analytics, or by choosing "Reject All" on the cookie banner. 17. GDPR-Style Disclosures for International Visitors

Because Authgnosis primarily serves Canadian and North American business clients, the Website is not specifically directed toward EU residents.
18. Children’s Privacy
The Website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and Authgnosis does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we become aware that information from a child has been collected unintentionally, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
