Visitors to authgnosis.com can now chat with Marissa or book a meeting without a Teams account, an install, or a third party chat vendor. Microsoft closed its own product for relaying website chat into Teams in August 2026, so the connection was built in Authgnosis's own Azure subscription.
- Each visitor conversation opens as a thread in a Microsoft Teams channel, carrying the first message and the page it came from, and a reply in the thread reaches the visitor's chat box in about three seconds. Availability is real time and controlled by the status set in the Microsoft Teams mobile or desktop app, within stated hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm Pacific. Chats are anonymous unless the visitor explicitly provides an email, and no AI tools write the replies.
- The Contact page has its own booking form instead of an embedded Microsoft page, so it follows the site's design and can pass each booking to the CRM. The form reads services and open times from Microsoft Bookings, which remains the system of record for the calendar, the Teams meeting, and the confirmation email. Services that aren't listed publicly are booked through a direct link to the same form.
- Chats and bookings that provide an email are registered in the CRM, either to a known CRM Contact if one exists, or as a Lead pending acceptance by the CRM user. A chat needs both a name and an email to reach the CRM. Bookings sends no notice when a meeting is moved or cancelled, so a check every 15 minutes reads the calendar back and sends any change.
- Chat data is deleted automatically after 30 days, per the Authgnosis website privacy policy: in Teams by Microsoft Purview, and in the chat service's own store by a daily purge. Chats are excluded from Microsoft Clarity capture to protect PII, and the privacy policy gained sections on the chat, online booking, and email sign-ups.
